New Edition 1858. This is the true 3rd Edition and 1st Uniform Edition of Wuthering Heights. The publisher Smith Elder first issued each of the Brontë novels in this single volume edition. Correctly dated 1858 on the title page. Bound in the original orange cloth. Two novels in one volume. The Biographical Notice and the Preface to Wuthering Heights, both by Charlotte Brontë (under the name Currer Bell), were first included in the second edition of 1850. The book is near very good and in bright condition. Light edge rubbing and darkened spine. Wording on cloth dulled. A little fraying to spine tips/corner. Cloth colour a little mottled/marked. Contents good with usage marks to pages. Text block quite tight, a little uneven but overall good. A rare example without restoration.
