Three Original Ernest Shepard Pen and Ink drawings. Drawn in circa 1925 and appeared in Playtime & Company Verses By E.V Lucas 1925 on pages 56 & 57. Framed/ mounted in light oak wood behind glass. Pictures measure 205mm x 120mm, frame 295mm x 210mm.Included is a copy of the book, second impression (Dec 1925) book which is also very special as it was signed in 1964 by Ernest on the title page. These three drawings and the signed book belonged to Ursula Brown to whom the book was originally inscribed. Ursula met Ernest in 1964 and was given the pictures by him as a gift. He also signed he book at the same time. The style of caravan in the pictures were later used in the Wind in the Willows of 1931. Includes a letter from the original Powell family owner. All items in very good condition.
