The original owners Odyssey appears to have been undertaken during the early 1900’s and explores the countryside and various buildings that inspired Thomas Hardy in the writing of his book. With an Etching by H. Macbeth-Raeburn and a Map of Wessex. A novel of the Napoleonic wars, with a new introduction by Thomas Hardy and the first illustrated edition with the etching, precedes the 1897 London edition of the same book.
