A psychological thriller/fantasy concerning extended amnesia, where a man who was badly injured in a railway accident during the war, recovers consciousness in hospital with absolutely no idea who he is. Like Bell's novel 'The Inconstant Wife' written the year before on the same subject, the narrative follows the protagonist on his outer and inward journey to discover his true identity. Mainly of fantasy interest but edges into the supernatural. Book is very good++ and bright. Contents good. The wrapper is very good+ and bright. Light rubbing to edges. Spine lightened.
