1st Edition 1979. This volume is signed and inscribed by Beaton to Margaret (Waugh), dated 12th October 1979, when he was quite frail, hence the shaky (left) hand. It is laid out in chronological order, including material from other Cecil Beaton books and some not previously used by Beaton in his series of previously published Diaries. There are 435pp, together with 25 photographic illustrations of Beaton’s own compositions. The book is very good++ and bright. Contents good. The wrapper is near very good and quite bright. Light edge rubbing. Light age toning lines to front of wrapper.
