The signature is early and is probably from the period when he was at Nottingham University or teaching in Eastwood. Book is just about fair with cracked/broken hinges, loss to spine tips. Holding together well though. Contents below average with loss to the last fifty pages. Generally a poor copy but very rare ti have belonged to D H Lawrence whilst he was a young man. Books rarely turn up in commerce that belonged to Lawrence as a young man.
