An excellent 1959 reprint set in the same design as the 1st editions of the famous series published a few years earlier. Known as the 8th, 6th and 5th editions. Books are near fine and wonderfully bright. Small mark to one spine. Contents excellent and bright. The wrappers are near fine and very bright. Wonderful bright spines. Virtually no age toning. Mark to one spine centre. All maps in excellent condition. These are the nicest set of Lord of the Rings that I have come across in commerce. Includes the glassine covers which came with the books but I do not believe these were from the publishers.
