This edition includes 1) Ugly Duckling illustrated by Lawrence Jossett,2) The Magic Tinderbox illustrated Tom Kerr, 3) Beetle Who Went Traveling Illustrated by Lawrence Jossett Duuring WW2 Perry was stationed at the camouflage centre Farnham Castle where he would have rubbed shoulders with artists such as Julian Trevelyan and Roland Penrose and the magician Jasper Maskelyne, Pauline Baynes to name just a few. Perry's family owned a printing firm in Putney and he persuaded some of the artists at the Camouflage Centre to moonlight, producing a number of wartime children's titles modelled to some extent on Carrington's Picture Puffin series. The book is good++ and bright. Paper hinge missing. Edge rubbing. Nice clean contents.
