2nd Imp of the Cheap Edition 1866. First published 2 years earlier in this format. It was an entirely new edition with text in two columns. Bound in the original publishers green cloth. The Second Cheap Edition, following the five impressions of the three-volume 1st edition in 1861, and the two editions of the one-volume edition of 1862/1864. Frontis plate by Marcus Stone. Book is very good with bright boards. Edges and spine tips rubbed. Contents good. Archival repair with new paper to the corner of the endpaper, title page and first page of text. No text is lost.
