Printed C1880. Book states 1846 but the binding and other books printed indicates it is from a later date C1880. Bound in a lovely bespoke late Victorian cloth binding. Through most of the 19th century and well into the twentieth, Tauchnitz issued copyright editions of English and American works to be sold on the continent for travelers and resident English speakers. These Continental Edition were published at the same time and later as the standard UK editions.Works consists of A Christmas Carol, The Chimes and The Cricket on the Hearth. Very nice original quality decorative leather binding. Book is very good with quite bright boards. Edges lightly rubbed. Contents good. Light staining to endpaper.
