Also includes an Autograph Letter Signed by Rev. E. P. Flewelling to Harry George Grey (grandson of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey) regarding the adoption by his brother, Frederick Bryan Grey’s, and Nellie Langolis of their five children born out of wedlock in the UK. This two-sided letter goes into detail about the bringing of the children to Canada and their travels across America on route to Tasmania Australia. Includes a contemporary typed copy of the Deed of Adoption 1914 Cranbrook British Colombia Canada of the five children between Frederick and Nellie, a handwritten family tree of the Grey family back to Prime Minster the Second Earl Grey. Frederick Bryan Grey 1852 in Gibraltar. Died 6 Jan 1927 at age 74 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Son of George Grey and Jane Frances (Stuart) Grey Brother of Charles Grey, Mary Elizabeth Grey, Katherine Louisa Grey, Jane (Grey) Wykeham-Musgrave, Henry George Grey, George Walter Grey, Francis William Grey, Helen Diana Grey and William Edward Grey. Married Mary Greenstock, 1 child 1886, children with Helena Dutton 1903-1912, Canada and Australia. Henry "Harry" George Grey (1851-1925) was an English missionary, author, aristocrat, and theologian who served as the third Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. Grey was the second son of Admiral George Grey (1809-1891) and thus a grandson of Prime Minister Earl Grey. Map size is 115cm x 98cm. Map is part of the deceleration act issued by the Minster of Lands, Forests and Mines Frank Cochrane. It details the sale of Lands in the Georgian Bay region, but with the mindfulness of preserving the forestry of that area, such as pine timber. A.G. Ardagh was a prominent surveyor in the department of Lands and Forests.
