An Original Typed Vice President letter Signed, by Richard Nixon from the office of the Vice President, Washington, 19 July 1956. Letter states to Peter Bland, thanking him for his kind comments and saying it is a pleasure to comply with his request for an autograph, ‘I am also enclosing one of my personal cards for your “fellow-collector”’,1 page. Richard Milhous Nixon 1913 – 1994 was the 37th president of the United States, serving from 1969 until his resignation in 1974. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the 36th vice president under President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953 to 1961. Nixon's second term ended early when he became the only U.S. president to resign from office, as a result of the Watergate scandal. Size is 228mm x 178mm. Condition is good. Light folding crease.
