A third person confirmation letter to the secretary David Octavius Hill about meeting the President of the Royal Scottish Academy (Sir George Harvey) David Octavius Hill (20 May 1802 – 17 May 1870)[1] was a Scottish painter, photographer and arts activist. He formed Hill & Adamson studio with the engineer and photographer Robert Adamson between 1843 and 1847 to pioneer many aspects of photography in Scotland. From a autograph book kept by A. P. Watt (1834-1914), founder of A. P. Watt & Son in 1875, the world's first literary agents. Size is 121m x 75mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases.
