C1904. Undated and probably unpublished. On the reverse is photograph of the Colonel William Kenyon Mitford and family. Colonel William Kenyon Mitford, 1857–1943 was a British Army officer, landowner and courtier. The Mitford family of Pitshill in Tillington was descended from the Mitfords of Mitford in Northumberland whose lineage begins with Sir John Mitford who died in 1409. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill 1874 – 1965 was a British statesman, military officer, and writer who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and 1951 to 1955.
