'Dear Jerome, Not having received a telegram from you I shan't come to town till tomorrow Wed afternoon. But if you want me send wire and I will come up by first train. I have not written my address to Penly because I thought there was no occasion to bother him. Of course I have received the part and have gone over it several times. Yours sincerely, Weedon Grossmith' Walter Weedon Grossmith 1854-1919, better known as Weedon Grossmith, was an English writer, painter, actor, and playwright best known as co-author of The Diary of a Nobody (1892) with his brother, music hall comedian and Gilbert and Sullivan star George Grossmith. Weedon Grossmith also illustrated The Diary of a Nobody to much acclaim. Size of letter is 155mm x 100mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases.
