
An Original Handwritten 'Savage Club' Letter Headed Paper and Envelope Signed by Writer Henry Williamson. Dated 1970. A long hand written letter to Sara Kentish with regards to him not being able to go to North Devon due health issues with his eye. He discusses the weather and the spring rolling in to North Devon. He goes on to mention that his friend Ossie Jones is coming to North Devon as he has purchased an old property there and suggests that when he is back down in Devon they must visit him. Henry Williamson 1895-1977 was an English writer who wrote novels concerned with wildlife, English social history and ruralism. He was awarded the Hawthornden Prize for literature in 1928 for his book Tarka the Otter.He was great friends with T E Lawrence. Size is 203mm x 14mm. Condition is good. Folding Creases and light marking/staining. Envelope roughly opened.
