A letter accepting the position of President of the Kew Constitutional Club. The letter goes into detail about the club. Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury 1830-1903 was a British statesman and Conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom three times for a total of over thirteen years. He was also Foreign Secretary for much of his tenure, and during his last two years of office he was Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal. William Nevill, 1st Marquess of Abergavenny 1826-1915, styled Viscount Neville between 1845 and 1868 and known as The Earl of Abergavenny between 1868 and 1876, was a British peer. From a autograph book kept by A. P. Watt (1834-1914), founder of A. P. Watt & Son in 1875, the world's first literary agents. Size is 178mm x 114mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases.
