An Original Handwritten Letter Signed by Dr Thomas Arnold. Dated 1817. A letter acknowledging his attendance at a College Commemoration. To the reverse is a poem in a unknown language possibly Greek by Arnold. Dr Thomas Arnold 1795-1842 was an English educator and historian. He was an early supporter of the Broad Church Anglican movement. Size is 145mm x 130mm. Condition is good. Light folding creases. Gum residue to rear edge.
