1st Edition 1960. The author's first book, a key novel of the 60s, is the basis of John Schlesinger's award-winning feature film (1962) starring Alan Bates and June Ritchie. An unusual edition as it is a 1st edition with the 1962 film wrapper. The book was never reprinted before the film edition potentially the publisher may have used up old 1st edition sheets and published it in this way. Book is very good++ and bright.
